
Management has hired well-known diagnostic technician Eric Bishop. He has gained an astute reputation in specializing in digital radiography. Bishop has received numerous accolades for his meticulous work, including the recent finding of a difficult to diagnose condylar fracture on Afleet Alex.
Bishop combines his equine knowledge, and experience with an eagerness to stay ahead of the technology curve. He is credited with being the first person to successfully operate a true mobile digital radiography service for veterinarians. Bishop attained his Bachelor of Science degree in Veterinary Sciences at Mercy College while completing his first career as a sergeant in the New York City Police Department. His 20 years of service included criminal investigations, and supervising in the prestigious Mounted Unit. His responsibilities included training horses, Mounted Police Officers, and acting as liaison to the on call veterinarian for equine lamenesses, and illnesses.
Bishop's second career as a NYS certified Veterinary Technician has gained him skills as a diagnostic technician in animal hospitals, and at the racetrack. Presently he maintains his mobile equine digital radiography business, and is employed by the New York Racing Association to run the NYS pre-race blood gas program.
Bishop also has 20 years experience in home building, and construction. His vast experience and technical skills provide invaluable services in a multitude of areas, including nuclear scintigraphy, digital radiography, treadmill procedures, hospital design, and general administration.
