John Roberts
Director
John RobertsJohn A Roberts

Mr Roberts, a retired international Architect and a Fellow of The Royal Institute of British Architects (FRIBA), was born in Lincoln, England.  Since 1993 he has been a resident of Lyford Cay, Bahamas.  Roberts has supported and been involved with IEAH Holdings since its inception.

Mr Roberts commenced architectural practice directly after leaving full time education in 1953 and founded John Roberts Architects Limited (Lincoln, England) from which he practiced throughout the United Kingdom.  He has successfully completed projects in Oakland, California and Princeton, New Jersey, as well as Europe and the Middle East.  His most prestigious project was The King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which was designed to precise Olympic standards/80,000 seats and completed in 1986 at a cost of $650 million.

He was also involved in setting up and developing various business ventures.  He has financed and directed the redevelopment of home estates in the UK, apartments in Mougins, France and has restored listed buildings and been involved with various retail and commercial developments.  Mr Roberts is still involved in development and brings his years of experience to this field.

In 2003 he joined with Michael Iavarone in forming IEAH and became the principal founding shareholder.  He continues to be a major shareholder and has interests in major racehorses.  As a director of IEAH he was involved with Michael Iavarone, Richard Schiavo and the veterinary consultants in bringing about the Ruffian Equine Medical Center.  This included the various negotiations related to the acquisition of the site.  He carried out the design and led the detailed drawing team which saw the center through to completion early in 2009.

He has a long-term interest in horse racing and has regularly attended UK meetings.  He continues to own Group One winners in the US in conjunction with IEAH Stables and looks forward to years of enjoyment with the IEAH team.
